Numbers in my life….
My first excitement was to turn 13…. I woke up that day screaming, shouting, jumping up and down yelling…”I’m a Teenager!” and the first thing I did was to wear my first piece of make-up a transparent lip gloss (or something like it back then) As usual my parents had a party that night I put transparent nail polish and wore a short skirt and went up to ppl telling them I’m not a kid anymore I’M A TEEN!
Second excitement was when I turned 16….as said Sweet 16, I woke up 7am, woke up my mum and went to have my first piece of Official document MY IDENTIFICATION CARD, I went around that day and a week after showing it to everyone I knew; stating that I am recognized in the country!
Most Important was my 18th Birthday…. Could hardly go to sleep and when the clock hit 7am I was out of bed ready to leave waiting for mum to take me. But then there came my dad telling me he’ll take me this time! We went to the garage and there was my senorita … He handed me the Key and said Happy Birthday sweetheart! I can’t describe the happiness I had inside! After we were done with the legality of the papers as well as my Driving licence I went to my friends Deeping and shouting I have a driving licence and a car!
21st… was exciting to know that I from now on forth will be fully responsible of myself… Dad took me to the banks that day, signing all the bank documents and declaring I am Shireen responsible of all the money. He mad me withdraw some money (gift) myself!
And Now…. Today I officially turn quarter of a Century…. 25 years old… the number I use to see very old when I was 13… I use to think wow he’s 25 years old he must be very old! Look at me now 25 yet young as a flying bird :)
The other number that I am still waiting for is 28th birthday cuz that would be my GOLD YEAR so they say I should receive the best gift of all (poor him)
Then last AND least would be my 50th Birthday… which I would turn HALF a CENTURY …. I wouldn’t look forward to any other birthdays I guess :)
